A Travellerspoint blog

Maggie Valley

Kathy and I started our Spring 2008 RV trip this past Thursday, May 22. We will be on the road for 42 days travelling about 3200 miles.

This blog will not be as extensive as last years, but I hope you enjoy it. Please let us know if you like the blog.

The first day was a travel day to just East of Atlanta on I-85, about 350 miles.
The next day we arrived in Maggie Valley just in time for lunch. We parked the MoHo at an RV Park in Maggie and met up with our friends Dave and Lori from Safety Harbor. We lunched in Waynesville. Of course we had to take a quick peek inside the Mast General Store. We will return to the store later.

Dave and Lori have a very nice 3 bedroom Cabin in Maggi centrally located. So we moved to their cabin for the Memorial weekend. Chuck and Judy Wagner from Wellington, Fl joined us later that evening.

The weekend was filled with hikes and good food and good friends.

Now it is Monday evening and all have left to return home and get back to work. Meanwhile, Kathy and I are sitting by a babbling brook behind our RV and writing this blog. There is something magical and relaxing about the sounds of a creek flowing over rocks. I'll try and include some photos in the next blog.

We will be in Maggie until Friday and then travel about 200 miles into the southwestern tip of Virginia on our way to Ohio.
